The CMC Heads to WV for Protocol Trainings

On October 5th, team members from ALLARM, the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, USGS, and the Izaak Walton League of America met for a field day at Cacapon State Park in Berkeley Springs, WV. The team gathered to record videos that will be used to train volunteers throughout the Chesapeake Bay Watershed in a benthic macroinvertebrate collection protocol that will be used to fill in data gaps for the Chessie Bibi Stream Health Indicator.

The team also met with EPA Biologist Greg Pond to practice a new sampling protocol that will support a special study project that will contribute to the ongoing assessment of Chesapeake Bay Stream Health.

Stay tuned for our new training video and how you can get involved in this project as it develops!
