In August, Caroline Donovan and Nathan Miller (UMCES-IAN) took a field trip out to Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Dorchester County, Maryland. A team of volunteers are measuring water quality (Secchi, dissolved oxygen, nutrients, and more) at four tidal sites within the refuge. These volunteers have organized themselves and created this program with the help of the NWR office at Blackwater. The volunteers did a great job with their monitoring, and the CMC team was happy to get outside on a beautiful day!
